This universal encoder interface card is an option for the variable speed drives of the Altivar range. It is compatible with Altivar 71. It enhances drive performance regardless of the motor's load condition, providing torque at zero speed, precise speed control, and torque accuracy. Additionally, it allows for shorter response times to torque spikes and improves dynamic performance during transient states. It is protected against short circuits and overloads. It weighs 200 g and is used for flux vector control with a sensor (FVC mode) for asynchronous motors or for vector control with speed feedback (FSY mode) for synchronous motors. It is installed in a special slot of the inverter.
