The TeSys U control and diagnostic unit is integrated into the advanced LUB380 power bases to form a TeSys U starter control for 3-phase motor applications up to 18.5 kW at 400 V. It provides full protection for motors with a rated current Ir from 9.5 to 38 A (adjustable Ir), overload relay class 10, short-circuit protection at 13 x Irmax, overcurrent at 14.2 x Ir, phase failure, and insulation fault (device protection only). It features a thermal overload alarm that can be used locally via an LUFDA module or remotely via a LULC module, as well as a test button for simulating an overload. It is designed for use with a 24 V DC power supply for controlling the starter (via the control terminals A1/A2 in the power base).
