The PowerLogic PM8340 is a mains analyser designed for front mounting in low and medium voltage applications, measuring 96 x 96 mm. It features an integrated display and AC/DC control voltage, developed to ensure the availability and efficiency of energy-critical systems. This device creates energy transparency and provides actionable data on complex power quality conditions. With modular, flexible, and powerful ION technology, customized applications can be created for each measuring device.

It offers high accuracy, multiple communication ports, a web-based user interface, and a graphical colour display. The power analyser includes integrated power quality analysis and patented fault direction detection. It is certified by independent laboratories for class 0.2S accuracy at active energy and for power quality.

Cybersecurity features include secure protocols, security event logging, and the ability to enable or disable communication ports. It supports up to 50 configurable user accounts to manage access. The device has 512 MB memory for up to 64 data logs, more than 50 user-definable alarms, waveform logging with up to 512 samples per cycle, and 1/2 cycle RMS logging. Memory can also be used for custom web pages, min/max logs, energy trends, and operating hours.

Events are time-stamped with an accuracy of +/-1ms using time synchronization methods that include PTP, NTP, IRIG-B, GPS ASCII, and a network time setting function. It has 3 digital inputs and one digital output, with the ability to add up to 4 option modules. The input/output option modules include 2 relays and 6 digital inputs or 2 analogue outputs and 4 analogue inputs. The control voltage range is wide, from 90-415 VAC / 110-415 VDC. The operating environment ranges from -25 to +70°C, with humidity from 5% to 95% and an operating altitude of up to 3000 m.
