The Altivar ATV dPAC module is part of the EcoStruxure Automation Expert hardware control series. The term dPAC refers to all devices that are compatible with EcoStruxure Automation Expert and UniversalAutomation.org. EcoStruxure Automation Expert represents a new category of software-defined automation that enables integrated next-generation architectures and Industry 4.0 solutions. This PLC control, which can be integrated into the ATV frequency inverter based on IEC 61499, can be used in architectures ranging from highly distributed to drive-centric. This control includes 12 MB of program memory on a single-core processor and is utilized in the Altivar Machine ATV340, Altivar Process ATV600, and ATV900 frequency inverters. The application can control the motor of the drive and utilize the integrated I/O, extended I/O, relay, and encoder option modules (up to 23 discrete I/O and up to 7 analog I/O). It supports Modbus TCP/IP client (up to 8 Modbus devices). It also supports a Modbus TCP/IP server, OPC-UA client and server, SysLog, NTP, and NETIO. The Altivar graphic display can be configured to show data from the Altivar ATV dPAC application program.
