It is designed to be mounted in a flush-mounted box. Shelly can be used as a standalone device or as part of a complete smart home solution. Shelly has an integrated web server through which the device can be configured, operated, and monitored. Operation can take place over the local Wi-Fi or via the optionally activated Shelly Cloud. Shelly has two Wi-Fi modes: Access Point and Client mode. The Shellys can communicate directly with other Wi-Fi devices via HTTP. It can be used as a standalone device or together with a smart home hub or software. MQTT, ioBroker, Home Assistant, openHAB, Domoticz, and a REST API are supported.
