SINAMICS G120 Control Unit CU250S-2 PN integrates PROFINET and supports vector control. It offers a single-axis positioner EPOS via license, advanced functions, 4 configurable digital inputs/outputs, 6 digital inputs (3 F-DI), 5 digital inputs, 3 digital outputs (1 F-DO), 2 analog inputs, and 2 analog outputs. Safety functions are integrated, including Safe Torque Off (STO), Safe Brake Control (SBC), and Safe Stop 1 (SS1). Additional safety functions are available via license. The CU250S-2 control unit is designed for high-performance applications in general machine engineering and is part of the modular SINAMICS G120 frequency converter. It is suitable for individual drives with higher demands on speed control. The extensive I/O interfaces, fieldbus interfaces, and additional software functions optimally support the application. In vector control, two encoders (position and speed) can be connected, enabling use in lifting, swiveling, traveling, or rotating applications. The CU250S-2 control unit manages and monitors the power section and the connected motor in several selectable control modes. It allows communication with a local or central control system as well as monitoring devices and serves to connect all process-relevant auxiliary units and external components such as sensors, valves, and contactors.
