The design and functionality of the SIMATIC PM 1507 single-phase load power supply (PM = Power Module) with automatic range selection for the input voltage make it an optimal addition to the SIMATIC S7-1500 PLC. The PM 70 W and PM 190 W load power supply modules are designed for 120/230 V AC supply input and output circuits (load circuits) as well as sensors and actuators.

Connection to all 1-phase mains (120 V AC / 230 V AC) is achieved through automatic switching. Short-term mains buffering allows for an output voltage of 24 V DC limited to a maximum of 28 V DC, preventing damage to 24 V consumers if the input voltage is too high. There is a 50% "extra power" feature for 5 seconds per minute to compensate for short-term overloads, such as when switching on 24 V loads.

Parallel connection of two load power supplies is possible for improved performance. Rated input voltage is 120/230 V AC, 50/60 Hz with automatic voltage range switching. Rated output current is 3 A or 8 A, with output power rated at 70 W or 190 W. Power failure buffering is also included.
