SINAMICS G120 - Standard inverter - Control unit. The SINAMICS G120 is a modular inverter system consisting of two functional units: power module (PM) and control unit (CU). This control unit controls and monitors the power module and the connected motor in different modes. It supports communication with a local or central controller and monitoring devices. The CU240 control units are suitable for a wide range of applications in general machine building such as conveyors, mixers, and extruders. Control unit G120 free function blocks (FFB) include 1 x PID controller, motor holding brake, and digital and analog I/Os. Different versions available: CU240B-2, control unit with USS and Modbus RTU; CU240B-2 DP, control unit with Profibus DP; CU240E-2, control unit with USS and Modbus RTU as well as basic safety functions (STO); CU240E-2 DP, control unit with Profibus DP and basic safety functions (STO).
