SIRIUS Soft Starter S0 38 A, 18.5 kW/400 V, 40 °C AC 200-480 V, AC/DC 24 V screw terminals. The SIRIUS 3RW30 soft starter is designed for standard applications for the gentle starting of three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for stepless starting, reduces current peaks, avoids voltage fluctuations during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, maintenance-free switching, and easy handling. The integrated bypass ensures a compact design and lower heating in the control cabinet. Worldwide approvals are available (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA). The 3RW soft starters are available for networks up to 690 V across a wide power range, with different control supply voltages and consistently with screw and spring clamp connections. For the 3RW30/40, there are additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3 and all 3RW44 also offer thermistor motor protection. With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted on circuit breakers, including variants with spring clamp connections.
