The SIRIUS 3RW30 soft starter is designed for standard applications to provide a smooth start for three-phase asynchronous motors. It allows for stepless starting, reduces current peaks, prevents voltage fluctuations during startup, relieves the power supply network, and decreases mechanical stress on the drive. Additionally, it offers significant space and wiring savings compared to star-delta starters and frequency converters, is maintenance-free, and easy to handle. The integrated bypass ensures a compact design and lower heating in the control cabinet. The soft starter has worldwide approvals (e.g., IEC and UL/CSA) and is available for networks up to 690 V across a wide power range with various control supply voltages, consistently featuring screw and spring clamp connections. The models 3RW30/40 also have additional variants with a 24 V control supply voltage. Some of the 3RW40 up to size S3, as well as all 3RW44, also offer thermistor motor protection. With the optional connection module, the soft starters can be mounted to circuit breakers, including variants with spring clamp connections.
