The testo 816-1 is optimal for sound level measurements in workplaces, industrial and manufacturing halls, as well as in public spaces. Its functionality meets all requirements for standard-compliant sound level measurement according to IEC 61672-1 Class 2. With the push of a button, the measurement time can be switched from Slow (1 sec) to Fast (125 ms). Additionally, with another button press, you can switch between frequency weighting from Curve A to C and vice versa. Curve A corresponds to the sound pressure sensitivity of the human ear, while Curve C can evaluate low-frequency components of a noise. The integrated data memory allows for the storage of over 30,000 measurement values in the device, which can be managed using the included software. Furthermore, the software enables online measurements to be conducted over an extended period. The highest accuracy can be achieved through calibration; with the optional sound calibrator and the supplied accessories, the testo 816-1 can be recalibrated on-site.
