It is not possible to operate a Ubiquiti UniFi Protect Network Camera without additional hardware. You need at least one of the following UniFi Consoles or Cloud Gateways to manage the network camera and access the video recordings. For example: Network Video Recorder Professional (UNVR-Pro), Network Video Recorder (UNVR),CloudKey+ (UCK-G2-PLUS, UCK-G2-SSD), Dream Machine Pro (UDM-Pro), Dream Machine Special Edition (UDM-SE), Dream Machine Pro Max (UDM-Pro-Max), Dream Router (UDR), Dream Wall. These devices are required to run the UniFi Protect software, which is necessary for managing and storing the network camera's video recordings. The UniFi Protect App alone is not sufficient to operate the network camera.
