The Smartsolar MPPT 150/60-tr from Victron Energy belongs to the latest generation of smart solar controllers from the Dutch premium manufacturer. It processes up to 60 A of solar current and can flexibly work with 12/24/36/48 V batteries. Ultra-fast power tracking and automatic power point detection in partial shading are just two of the many highlights of this new class of devices. The SmartSolar 150/60-tr is also available in a version with MC4 connections on the solar side of the charge controller instead of screw terminals. Additionally, this model supports parallel operation with other controllers of the same type. Compared to the BlueSolar series, the Smartsolar family has the Bluetooth module already integrated into the controller, making the Smart Dongle unnecessary. Also new is the optional LCD display, which can be easily attached to the SmartSolar 150/60-tr when needed. The display provides all important information about the controller, smart data communication via VE.Direct, and lightning-fast Bluetooth. Modern Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, MacBooks, and other devices can be connected thanks to the built-in Bluetooth module and the free Victron Connect app. The app can then be used to configure many important functions of the MPPT 150/60-tr SmartSolar controller and provides all key parameters such as the current solar yield in real-time.
