This device protects analog signals and current loops (CL - Current Loop), covering signals from current loops (analog measurements from encoders over long distances) such as 4...20 mA and 0...20 mA. It supports two, three, and four-wire configurations without a common reference potential, suitable for applications like level measurement. It also accommodates signals from voltage transmitters (analog measurements from transmitters over short distances) such as 0...10 V and PT 100, ideal for temperature measurement.

The pluggable arrester allows for interruption-free and impedance-neutral plugging or unplugging and is testable with the V-TEST instrument. Its space-saving design supports two analog signals and features a ground-free PE connection to prevent potential differences. It complies with the IEC 62305 installation standard (D1, C1, C2, and C3). The integrated PE foot safely dissipates up to 20 kA (8/20 μs) and 2.5 kA (10/350 μs) to PE. The colored marking of voltage levels enables quick identification in the control cabinet, and a safety function is provided by a coding element for different voltage levels.
