The superplastic insert (series 3207) allows for greater striking power than the rubber insert. It is a medium-hard plastic insert made from extruded, extremely homogeneous material. Compared to injection-molded plastic inserts, it is therefore much more wear-resistant and durable. The housing made of tempered cast iron features an integrated handle protection sleeve that ensures high break resistance. BASEPLEX is the entry-level product line that meets Halder's high quality standards. The BASEPLEX series 3968 features a combination of cellulose acetate and nylon. The red cellulose acetate insert is hard and resistant to oil and grease. The white nylon insert is even harder than the red one and is also highly abrasion-resistant. The base body is made of high-quality zinc die-cast and includes a handle impact protection and a technically sophisticated holder for the striking inserts. The wooden handle is ergonomically shaped and painted. The striking inserts and the handle are interchangeable. This version is available in sizes from D25mm to D50mm.

The Halder Schonhammer Supercraft L. 310 mm Head Diameter 50 mm Non-rebound Hard Nylon White offers additional details with replaceable, wear-resistant nylon striking heads. It prevents chipping, is low-noise, and interchangeable. With high impact toughness, the steel core has a closed cavity that is partially filled with steel shot. Upon impact, the shot is thrown to the striking side, resulting in a non-rebound strike. The striking effect is up to 100% greater than that of normal soft hammers. Equipped with a steel tube handle and a rubber grip cover.

The punches and beaters are fitted at both ends with replaceable, very wear-resistant and splinter-free heads made of special nylon (art. no. 3508.010 / .015 / .020 / .030). Thus they allow safe and gentle working with a steel hammer.
The hammers are more or less a soft-face hammer without a handle, with the hammer head directly in the hand. They are not only used where limited accessibility makes the use of a hammer impossible, but also make it possible to dose the impact force very precisely, to hit exactly and to work in a power-saving way. The beaters are recoilless because they are filled with steel shot. This means that when the impact surface hits the workpiece, the shot filling is delayed. Due to the reduced rebound, the impact energy is optimally utilised and joint-friendly and low-noise work is possible.
