The Meross MSG100 Smart Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener connects to your existing Wi-Fi network and does not require its own Wi-Fi to use the app. It must therefore be connected to your existing Wi-Fi in order to use the functions via the app. If you don't have Wi-Fi in the garage, you would either need to extend a Wi-Fi network into the garage or consider an alternative such as a Wi-Fi amplifier or mesh network.
