Question about Philips Hue Amaranth
I would like to mount the lamp on the façade directly under the roof so that the lawn in front of the house is illuminated. I.e. lighting would be from above instead of below. Does anyone know whether this works or what is fundamentally wrong with it? I also have a general question about brightness: The front of the house is 20m long. How many lamps should be used? It doesn't have to be extremely bright, it's just that we want to be able to see the dog when it's on the lawn. Thank you for your opinions.
I would advise against it, it is more suitable for directly illuminating a wall / privacy wall with a distance of max. 50 cm to 1 m.
I would rather recommend the HUE Welcome outdoor spotlight, which can also be dimmed quite well and covers a large area.

They actually illuminate more the wall. However, they also illuminate the surroundings a little. But not very much. Maybe you should use HUE spotlights...
I don't think they are made to illuminate large spaces, but maybe that's enough
Hi Panther78, I have a total of 6 Hue Amarant around the house / property. Designed as a façade spotlight, the light beam is wide, so I think that with max. 2 Amarant - as long as they are mounted high enough above the lawn on the roof, you can illuminate the 20m far enough to see the dog in the dark. Alternatively, I can recommend the Philips Hue Discover for this purpose, but it requires a fixed power connection, whereas the Amarant works with low voltage and can be positioned more flexibly with the extension cables.
