Our water contains a lot of lime and it accumulates on the floor overnight. Is it possible to "collect" the limescale with this vacuum cleaner or does it blow the limescale out again with the water?

It depends on how fine-grained the lime is. It won't work with the normal catch bag, but it comes with a fine catch bag: so far I haven't had any solid particles get back into the water.
