The elegantly designed model is an evolution of the popular free flight model Lilienthal 32, which has consistently achieved excellent placements in youth competitions. With the Lilienthal 40 RC, the addition of remote control is no longer a problem. The fuselage provides enough space for two micro servos, a receiver, and a battery. A suitable servo board, linkages, and Bowden cable tubes are already included in the kit. However, the model can also be built as a pure free flight model, with the RC components added at a later time. A high-start hook is also included in the kit. As expected from aero-naut, all parts are precisely laser-cut. The leading edge of the model is already shaped, eliminating the need for sanding. The wing is assembled using pre-shaped balsa parts with the help of support ribs. The wing tips are already manufactured with the appropriate V-shape, which does not require extensive sanding. With a wingspan of 1,190 mm, a take-off weight of 190-220 g is achieved, depending on whether RC components are included or not. The assembly of the model is accompanied by the unique and youth-friendly 3D-style building instructions known from aero-naut models, ensuring quick building success. The model is approved and well-suited for youth competitions in model flying associations. A suitable motor attachment is available for the model.
