The AMXPlanes GlaStar is a STOL trainer model that can take off and land on nearly any surface due to its oversized tires. The air-filled tires act as a kind of shock absorber, making takeoffs and landings on uneven and rough surfaces effortless. STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) refers to extreme short takeoff and landing capabilities.

The model features a large battery cover that locks magnetically to make battery changes as easy as possible. It is designed for LiPo batteries with 3S (11.1 V) and a capacity of 1300-2200 mAh. With 1300-1500 mAh, the model's agility is higher, and with 1800-2200 mAh, the flight time increases significantly.
