Brück & Sohn Art Publishing - Mini Advent Calendar "Pillnitz"

Pillnitz Castle was one of the pleasure palaces of Augustus the Strong. In the Baroque style, Augustus the Strong began the reconstruction and expansion of Pillnitz Castle in 1720. The Pillnitz Castle is located directly on the Elbe River. The three castle buildings frame a magnificent Baroque pleasure garden with some surprises from Augustus's time.

The artist drew inspiration for the mini advent calendar from the oriental roofs and cornices of the Water Palace, which were very popular in the Baroque period, and has beautifully incorporated the three wise men from the biblical Christmas story into the oriental ambiance of Pillnitz Castle.
