Brück & Sohn Art Publishing - Advent Calendar "Pillnitz"

The beautiful Pillnitz Castle on the Elbe River is now part of Dresden. Augustus the Strong had the Pillnitz Castle remodeled and expanded in the Baroque style starting in 1720. At the center of the three castle buildings of Pillnitz Castle lies an impressive Baroque pleasure garden, which Augustus the Strong used for his festivities, just like the Pillnitz Castle itself. Today, everything is open to the public. This Advent calendar features the water palace with its oriental roofs and cornices, which were very popular in the Baroque period.

On the Advent calendar from Brück & Sohn, the artist has wonderfully incorporated the three wise men from the biblical Christmas story into the oriental atmosphere of Pillnitz Castle. A fairy-tale Advent calendar has been created with 24 Christmas and Pillnitz surprise images behind the windows.
