Product details
With a functioning headlight. Closed design. Axle arrangement B. Length: 43 mm. The field railway locomotive Deutz OMZ 122 F is a popular traction vehicle. The locomotive was built by Humboldt-Deutz in Cologne between 1932 and 1942 and primarily used for shunting duties. The design focuses on the essentials: the locomotives are equipped with only a simple gear transmission and do not even have a compressed air brake. One wheelset is directly driven, while the second is driven via a coupling rod. The version with a gauge of 600 mm has a power output of 40 HP and a maximum speed of 17.5 km/h. The engine is started with compressed air. In the model, details such as connecting rods, exhaust, nameplate, etc. are intricately reproduced. Deutz did not have independent type designations for its locomotives, but used the designation of the engines for the locomotives as well. To distinguish the locomotives by name, it became customary to append an "F" for field railway locomotives, an "R" for shunting locomotives, and a "G" for mine locomotives to the engine designation.
