Martha is really looking forward to Christmas Eve. There are shining stars in the windows at home and Grandma has made an Advent calendar so that Martha and her little brother can unwrap a surprise every day. But then her cousin Yusuf moves in with them because his parents are still in a country at war. Suddenly Martha finds everything quite stressful - until one day she goes into the snow-covered forest with Yusuf. A task awaits the children there that they can only solve together.
