New design. Since its market launch in 2014, more than 130 DE 18 locomotives have been sold, which today reliably serve both shunting and mainline operations. With speeds ranging from 17 to 120 km/h, the DE 18 consistently delivers a power output of 1,800 kW, making it the most powerful center-cab locomotive currently available on the European market. Cross-border variants are equipped for multiple countries, with the DE 18 currently able to be fitted with four national train protection systems and ETCS at various levels of development. As a result, the locomotives can be found with German rail companies such as Rheincargo and Railadventure, as well as industrial railways like BASF, and with foreign operators such as CFL, Europorte, and SNCF. Following the realization of the Vossloh G1000 BB and G1700 BB, the latest diesel locomotive, the DE 18, is now available as a model in N scale. Each model comes with a figure of a shunting locomotive driver with remote control for N scale. The figure is exclusively re-modeled and manufactured for us by the company NOCH.
