The locomotive has a rechargeable battery drive and a magnetic coupler on the back. The motor, rechargeable battery, and all of the electronics are not accessible to children. The locomotive can be recharged with the charging cable included with the set. It features three speed levels in both forward and reverse, as well as three sound functions and triple headlights. These can all be controlled using the Märklin Power Control Stick designed for children. The container transport car and crane car also have magnetic couplers. The sturdy containers are designed for children and can be opened and loaded. A permanent piece of metal in the containers allows for magnetic loading using the crane car included with the set. The crane car has four folding loading supports. The crane can be rotated, and the magnetic loading hook can be moved up and down using a hand crank. Train length is 55 cm (21-5/8").
