The locomotive features an mfx digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It is also equipped with a special motor in the boiler that drives three axles and has traction tires. The boiler is made of metal and comes with a factory-installed smoke unit. The triple headlights change with the direction of travel, and both the headlights and the integrated smoke unit can be operated in conventional mode as well as digitally. Maintenance-free, warm white LEDs are used for lighting. There is a close coupling with a guiding mechanism between the locomotive and the tender, as well as a close coupling with a NEM socket and a guiding mechanism at the rear of the tender. Additionally, there is a close coupling in a NEM socket at the front of the locomotive. The length over the buffers is 19.4 cm / 7-5/8".
