The brake module requires three isolated track sections in the signal area. The first part is a transition area, corresponding to the length of a ski slider (approximately 70-90 mm). The second section is the actual braking area, where the locomotive stops in a controlled manner. The length of the braking distance is determined by the setting of the braking delay on the locomotive decoder. This second area should be at least 40-50 cm long. The third section is a safety section, where, as before in signal sections, the power supply is switched off. This prevents accidental "slipping" of the locomotive past the signal area. The brake module is suitable for light and semaphore signals. Locomotives with built-in uncontrolled digital or Delta electronics may partially stop in the braking section or only in the safety section. A definitive specification is not possible. Therefore, the use of the brake module together with uncontrolled drives is less recommended. All connections feature new plug connections. Function corresponds to the brake module.
