ARF ready-to-fly model based on the original plans of designer Dipl. Ing. Wilfried Klinger. The Charly ARF has been optimized for modern electric drives and impresses with fantastic flying characteristics. The model is fully aerobatic and can be flown completely safely over a wide speed range. The question was, can the iconic Charly model be further improved? The clear answer: Yes, it can. Thanks to modern manufacturing methods such as laser cutting of components and carefully selected lightweight materials. A modern brushless electric drive also contributes to significant weight savings. The take-off weight has therefore been reduced by about 1000 g. The wide cowling provides a slight braking effect during aerobatics in downward maneuvers, ensuring a smooth and steady flight profile. The Charly ARF performs excellently in all aerobatic figures even with a 3-cell LiPo battery (recommended capacity 3500-4500 mAh). Performance-hungry pilots can also opt for a 4-cell LiPo battery (14.8 V) if desired. This makes the Charly ARF overpowered and allows it to climb vertically at about half throttle.
