New for 2026: Prototype-accurate Diesel Locomotive BR 216 for N Scale Model Railroads Era IV

With the blue/beige DB livery, PIKO introduces an iconic diesel locomotive from Era IV to the N scale layout. The BR 216, built from 1964, was developed as a single-engine large diesel locomotive for medium-duty service with the Deutsche Bundesbahn. The 214 locomotives were equipped with 1,400 kW MTU engines, reached speeds of 120 km/h, and were suitable for express and passenger trains, as well as freight trains thanks to their slow-speed capability. The model impresses with high detail fidelity, excellent running characteristics, and modern technology for easy digital conversion.
