The BR 78 from PIKO features a design and lettering that is true to the original DR in Era IV. Almost all lines are executed as free-standing, and the cab, water boxes, and smoke chamber are adorned with finely detailed reproductions of the rivet heads. The five-pole PIKO motor with flywheel ensures excellent driving characteristics. Additional weights in the boiler and two traction tires provide high pulling power. Thanks to the modern PluX22 interface, adding a decoder is very easy. With minimal effort, a speaker and smoke unit can also be installed later. Direction-dependent LED lighting creates an authentic operating atmosphere.
