300 years after the events of How to Train Your Dragon, dragons are nothing more than a legend in the modern world. When a massive, kilometer-deep fissure opens in the Earth's surface due to a geological anomaly, scientists from around the globe gather at a new research facility to investigate the mysterious phenomenon. Soon, a group of teenage outsiders, brought to the facility by their parents, discovers the truth about dragons and their hiding place—a secret they must keep to protect what they have uncovered. D'Angelo is the son of a former soldier who now leads the security team at the Icaris Lab. D'Angelo is kind-hearted and very disciplined. His greatest fear is disappointing his parents. With a strong interest in veterinary medicine, he quickly becomes the de facto dragon doctor of the group. D'Angelo's dragon, Plowhorn, is a one-eyed dragon of the Gembreaker class. Being the smallest in her pack, Plowhorn was cast out by her family. D'Angelo's compassion and trust gradually help her break down her walls, and the duo soon discovers that they love smashing things together. In addition to movable legs and a jaw, the Plowhorn figure also features foldable wing shells. When these are lifted, the transparent wings are revealed. A small horn on her head serves as a foot clamp for D'Angelo to ride. With her horn, Plowhorn can shatter the large crystal.
