The atomically powered Enterprise is the first aircraft carrier of its kind and is among the largest ship objects ever built. This gigantic aircraft carrier was commissioned on November 25, 1961. Eight water-cooled reactors generate a total power output of 300,000 horsepower, allowing the ship to achieve an average speed of 35 knots. The water displacement is 75,700 tons, and the flight deck is 76.8 meters wide. On average, 414 officers and 4,260 crew members are on board. Since the Enterprise is independent of external supply due to its nuclear propulsion, large fuel depots are available for the onboard aircraft. The largest and most modern aircraft of the U.S. Navy can be deployed from the Enterprise. It can be built either with a complete hull or as a waterline model.
