Red-eyed tree frogs are not toxic despite their striking coloration. They can be found in the tropical lowlands of southern Mexico, throughout Central America, and in northern South America. As nocturnal carnivores, they hide in the canopy of the rainforest, waiting to catch crickets, flies, and moths with their long, sticky tongues.
