The Porsche 956 is a true piece of motorsport history. This sports car prototype was developed for the World Endurance Championship and was first used in 1982. In its very first year, it won both championships (Constructors' and Drivers' Championship). The Tamiya model is a replica of the 1983 Le Mans winning vehicle driven by Schuppan, Haywood, and Holbert. The kit comes with an unpainted body and includes an RS-540 Sport Tuned motor. The chassis features a 2WD drive on the rear axle, similar to Tamiya's former Formula chassis. The chassis (Group C) has an ABS plastic tub and foam rubber tires. The included body is unpainted. Required accessories: 2-channel remote control with steering servo, electronic speed controller, battery pack, charger for the drive battery, transmitter batteries, Tamiya PS paint for polycarbonate bodies.
