The TRX-4 Sport "Scale and Trail" Crawler is factory-equipped with Traxxas' groundbreaking portal axle set. Portal axles raise the model at the wheels, allowing huge ground clearance at the center of the axles. To achieve the same ground clearance with straight axles (to avoid getting stuck), your wheels would need to be more than an inch larger than the TRX-4's. The TRX-4's chassis handles boulders with ease, travels on untrodden paths, and easily leaves everyone else behind.
