This high-quality, dark green leafy vegetable is a source of iron. Bunaroba barley grass has been grown under natural conditions by organic farmers on the Canterbury Plains in New Zealand for over 20 years. After a growth phase of 180-200 days, the stalks reach an approximate height of 25cm. Just before the plant starts growing grain, its grass contains the most valuable nutrients. Only the top tips of the grass are cut off. These grass tips are immediately washed carefully in clean water and gently dried for a short time (approx. 40° to prevent bacterial growth) and preserved. It is then ground into a fine powder and carefully packaged.
