The hair clipper GC542 is equipped with 24 cutting length settings. It features a stainless steel blade and a sliding guide comb that allows for an adjustment of cutting lengths from 1 to 24 mm. To set the cutting length, use the washer in the middle of the machine, which allows for adjustments in increments of 1 mm. The GC542 has a minimum cutting length of 0.8 mm when used without the guide comb. Additionally, it is equipped with a thinning system to reduce hair volume.

Before the first charge of the device, it is recommended to fully discharge the battery and then charge it completely. The time required for the first charge is 12 hours, while subsequent charging times are approximately 8 hours. The operating time on a full charge is about 45 minutes. The cord/cordless function allows for use with or without a cord. The blade head is removable, which, along with the included maintenance kit, makes daily cleaning easier.

Included in the package are the power adapter, a cleaning brush for the blades, and a small bottle of lubricant.
