SAGELLA pH 3.5 is suitable for daily intimate care and can be used multiple times a day due to its mild ingredients. Use the wash lotion like a shower gel in the shower, bathtub, or bidet for daily intimate care. It is intended for the external intimate area and is not suitable as a rinse.
What is pH and why is a specific pH important for intimate care?
pH indicates the acidity level, with values below 7.0 considered acidic and values above 7.0 considered alkaline. Water has a neutral pH of 7.0. The protective acid mantle of our skin, which guards against pathogens, is slightly acidic with a pH of 5.5. However, the skin of the female intimate area has a pH that fluctuates between 3.5 and 7.0 during different life stages such as youth, puberty, pregnancy, and menopause.
