Can this Braun shaver (like other Braun shavers) also be operated permanently from the mains without damaging the battery?

Helpful answer

Good day... The device does not work on the mains...! Ridiculously, it can only be charged via the cable. So in an emergency you can't shave....My old one could still...

BRAUN refunded the purchase price of my BRAUN 3040s shaver and recommended that I buy the 3020s.
- If there wasn't this really annoying problem, BRAUN probably wouldn't have acted like this ...
- I don't like it when BRAUN talks about a "reputation-damaging response" to a colleague above. This is no way to get rid of technical errors.

Type 3020s is a really great device for stationary shaving. I can only recommend it. However:
- I cannot yet assess whether this device can withstand continuous operation on the mains. And BRAUN has really unsettled me with this story.
- I also regret that BRAUN has changed its marketing concept with the 3-series.
-- The (highly efficient) shaving head is only supposed to last 18 months. I understand this because of its sophisticated shearing technology.
-- But its replacement costs approx. 50 % of the price of the new device ... (so it's recently the same with BRAUN as with the printer sellers).

Here is the official answer from BRAUN's parent company (the exact opposite, in other words: Quote
"
Hello Mr Staudacher,

thank you for your enquiry regarding your Braun shaver 3040s.

You can also operate your shaver with mains power only. However, we recommend that you fully charge the shaver before using it for the first time and then recharge it at least every 6 months or use it on battery power.

I hope I have been helpful and wish you a happy and healthy new year.

With kind regards

May I ask the Galaxus people to immediately correct reputation-damaging answers like the one above?

Does this (negative) answer also apply to the Braun 5-series shavers?
