There is a small brush with which you can more or less remove the hairs. There is always some left over, but it doesn't matter. You can remove the head for oiling and cleaning, but I have never rinsed it with water. The whole thing should be nicely lubricated. It's not a classic 0815 waterproof body shaver for 50Fr., but a professional device that is designed for continuous use at the hairdresser. It is a great product! If you are looking for a quality product for your head and facial hair, then you will certainly be satisfied with it.
