It takes time for thoughts to turn into ideas and ultimately products. This was the case for Knirps with the development of the student umbrella Rookie, which has been planned to complete the range for years. Now the time has finally come: Rookie is developed, designed, and produced, and will accompany students aged six and older on their way to school, the playground, or sports starting in October. The manually operated and easy-to-use umbrella weighs 205 g, has a diameter of 90 cm, and has been reliably tested in a wind tunnel up to 80 km/h. For added safety, the umbrella canopy features a reflective band all around. When it comes to design for school and cool teenagers, Knirps has opted out of typical children's motifs; there are no unicorns, princesses, or dragons on the canopy. Instead, alongside six strong and clear solid colors, there is the cheeky eye-catcher design Bubble Bust with neon-colored splashes on a black background. Additionally, the geometric and colorful designs Triple Blue and Triple Pink are available. Design and safety must not exclude each other, which is why safety is a top priority in all design variants, and the reflective band also adorns these canopies. Thanks to its compact dimensions, there is always a place for the Rookie in school bags, purses, or backpacks, ensuring that no child or teenager will be caught off guard by the rain anymore. Its easy handling and durable materials make Rookie the perfect companion for everyday life, and parents can be assured that their little ones are safe and visible in traffic thanks to the reflective elements.
