In 1944, Hans Hilfiker, a Swiss engineer working for the Swiss Federal Railways, created a clock that became world-famous as the "official Swiss station clock." This clock made its way to the wrist in 1986.

The Classic

In 1986, the Swiss watchmaker Mondaine, owned by the Bernheim family, drew inspiration from the iconic patented design of the station clock and transformed it into a watch collection – with the official approval of the Swiss Federal Railways.
