Jeans with a regular fit and slim leg, made from our favorite denim, the black Japan selvage. This 14.5 oz denim features a dense weave and a generous application of starch, ensuring remarkable stiffness. However, what truly sets it apart is its exceptional aging property, a testament to the heritage and innovative craftsmanship of Kurabo Mills.

This denim stands out due to its unique construction: the warp thread, primarily visible on one side of the fabric, is dyed black, allowing it to gradually wear down over time with wear and washing. In contrast, the weft thread, mainly visible on the back of the fabric, is dyed with a 'stay black' dye that preserves its deep black color without fading. While this may seem unconventional for a fading denim, it creates interesting contrasts that highlight the interactions between the warp and weft. This clever construction promises more pronounced contrasts than those of classic dry black denim.

In addition to its unique yarn combination, the tight weave of the denim, its stiff texture, the pronounced weaving lines, and the slightly rough threads create an exquisite surface texture and marbling effects when worn and washed. For optimal results, we recommend wearing our dry denim regularly for at least six months before the first wash. While this is entirely optional, this period promotes impressive fading.
