iPhone 13 mini to Pro Max: new chip, new functions – and a familiar design
by Jan Johannsen
Apple’s next event is scheduled for 18 October 2021 at 7 p.m. The company is expected to launch new Macs – anything else would come as a surprise.
Apple presented new iPhones and iPads at its event in September. With that, the stage is set for new MacBooks and Macs with the second generation of Apple’s proprietary M1X chip.
There are plenty of rumours, leaks and hints about the M1X chip, Macs and MacBooks. These are expected to be the focus of the Apple Event. Apple will most likely talk about the success of its M1 chip in replacing Intel processors. The M1 has also set new standards in terms of computing power – and the M1X should go one better.
In addition to changes to the MacBook’s inner workings, there may be some changes to the exterior. Depending on the model, Apple may opt for a mini-LED or OLED display.
Apart from the Macs with M1X chip, the AirPods 3 have the greatest chance of being presented at the event. Rumours about the next generation of in-ear headphones have been around for a while. There was already speculation that of them being presented at the iPhone event back in September, which ended up not being the case. This would be the next opportunity.
You can watch a livestream of the event on 18 October at 7 p.m. on the Apple website. We’ll also be reporting on it.
When I was but a young student, I'd sit in my friend's living room with all my classmates and play on his SuperNES. Since then I've had the opportunity to test out all the newest technology for you. I've done reviews at Curved, Computer Bild and Netzwelt, and have now arrived at Galaxus.de.
