Arcteryx is known for its expertise in mountain sports. Now the Canadian brand is extending this to another sport and launching a mountain bike collection for the first time. In a limited edition.

Whether mountain sports, trail running, trekking or urban adventures - outdoor clothing from Arcteryx can be found almost everywhere. In future - with a bit of luck - you will also be able to spot them on mountain bike trails. Rhoam is the name of the manufacturer's first limited-edition MTB collection with the Archaeopteryx logo, a creature somewhere between a dinosaur and a bird.

The collection includes a jacket, trousers and shorts, each with a men's and women's specific cut. The limited-edition capsule collection is designed for mountain bikers who need functional clothing for technical up- and downhills and changeable weather conditions, writes Arcteryx in the launch announcement.

The collection began as a passion project. The Arcteryx design centre is located not far from the North Shore trails in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The region is known for its technical terrain and unpredictable weather. «Biking is part of our culture. Our team has spent countless hours on the trails in the toughest conditions», writes Ashley Anson, VP Design at Arcteryx. The new bike clothing is therefore specially tailored to the requirements of ambitious mountain bikers - in cold, wet, windy and muddy conditions.

The garments can be combined with existing bike equipment such as helmets and protectors, writes Arcteryx. The gender-specific cuts are designed to optimise fit and freedom of movement. Pocket systems, adjustable cuffs and a customisable hem are further useful features. Body mapping, i.e. adapting the material to different cold, sweat and heat zones on the body, as well as water-repellent, breathable hybrid materials are designed to offer protection against wet and changeable weather.

The materials, cuts and details specifically designed for mountain biking are intended to provide a combination of comfort and performance, according to Arcteryx.

The Arcteryx Rhoam collection will be available in limited quantities from 3 April 2026. It is not yet clear if and when it will be added to our range.
