E3 2018 Day 4: All the news and trailers from Nintendo and co.

Nintendo held the last press conference of the E3 gaming trade fair. In it, the Japanese company cemented its commitment to the Switch and provided many new reasons why you should buy the console. E3 did not stand still because of this. Other manufacturers are also constantly providing new video material away from live streams.
Battle Royale for 1000 players with "Mavericks: Proving Grounds"
I would be interested to know how this is technically possible, considering that other titles already struggle with 100 players. You can already register for the alpha of the ambitious survival game. The game, in which "DayZ" creators Dean Hall and Bill Roper are also involved, is due to be released in 2019.

Pixel splendour at its best with "Noita"
In this rogue-like, which relies on tried-and-tested pixel graphics, every pixel is physically correctly animated. This makes for the prettiest pixel explosions I've seen in a long time. Coming to PC when it's ready.
Mass battle in "Assassin's Creed Odyssey"
The following trailer shows how the announced mass battles called Conquest play out. They occur when a region descends into chaos, which is usually thanks to the player.

Sony didn't exactly pay much attention to the game this year. But the zombie open-world game was definitely at the trade fair, as these two trailers prove. It is due to be released for the PS4 on 22 February.

The cuddly dragon is breathing fire again "Spyro: Reignited Trilogy" contains the remastered versions of "Spyro the Dragon", "Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage" and "Spyro: Year of the Dragon". The game will be released on 26 June for PS4 and Xbox One.

On 16 October, you will be able to assemble your own ship and conquer the Atlas star system.
"Overcooked 2" is coming in August
Many cooks spoil the broth, as the saying goes. Nowhere is this truer than in "Overcooked". "Overcooked" is a hectic but extremely fun multiplayer game in which you try to prepare the orders you want in various adventurous kitchens. Depending on the team, this quickly degenerates into absolute chaos. The second part will be released on 7 August on the Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

"Fortnite" is now also available on the Switch
The news that the popular battle royale game "Fortnite" is now also playable on Nintendo's console is not the biggest surprise, but it is still good news for Switch. It's annoying that Sony is playing the fun brake. If you have played "Fortnite" on the PS4 and want to log in with this account on the Switch, you're out of luck. Sony is also the only platform that doesn't allow cross-play.

Being the game and gadget geek that I am, working at digitec and Galaxus makes me feel like a kid in a candy shop – but it does take its toll on my wallet. I enjoy tinkering with my PC in Tim Taylor fashion and talking about games on my podcast http://www.onemorelevel.ch. To satisfy my need for speed, I get on my full suspension mountain bike and set out to find some nice trails. My thirst for culture is quenched by deep conversations over a couple of cold ones at the mostly frustrating games of FC Winterthur.
