Extra-wide trousers, striped shirts and branded beanies: spring fashion inspo

Desperately looking for a good reason to stock up your spring wardrobe? Ready for part two in my spring fashion recommendations? Here are five tips

I just wrote about how textiles in powder pink, boho details and sailing shoes are on the rise in womenswear this spring. High time to turn our attention to the latest menswear trends. Spoiler alert: at least two of them will be pretty polarising.

Wide trousers

Feel at home in your straight-leg trousers? Or are you even on Team Skinny Jeans? Then dare to try something new! Give roomy – and therefore very comfortable – trousers with more volume a chance. You’ll be amazed at how different your whole look can come off.

Striped shirts

Horizontal stripes in all designs are the dominant pattern this spring. Whether you opt for crew necks, rugby shirts or long sleeves is up to you. Feel free to also customise colours to your heart’s content.

Beanies with prints

The hyped Wordhead beanie from Arc’teryx could be to blame for this trend. Since going viral in the winter of 2023, branded beanies have become an integral part of everyday life. So if your hat still needs branding this spring, go for it! The best time to try is now.

Zip jackets

They manage the balancing act between practical and cool: cardigans with zippers. Worn unzipped, they’re the perfect final touch for your layering skills of a T-shirt plus shirt or jumper. Zipped up, they can always be worn as a sweater – and thanks to the zipper, they look anything but boring.
