GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti due in June?

Rumour has it that Nvidia will be introducing GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti at the end of May. The new models with mining limiters could be the end of existing models in as little as six months time.
As reported by Videocardz, the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti are scheduled to be unveiled on 31 May. Independent reviews will then follow from 2 June for the RTX 3080 Ti and from 9 June for the RTX 3070 Ti. The sales launch should follow soon.
The cards
Both cards are said to feature Nvidia’s revised mining limiter. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is expected to have the GA102-225 GPU. There are 10 240 Cuda cores activated on it. The model will have 12 GB of GDDR6X memory. That’s only 2 GB more than the RTX 3080 has. Thanks to the wider 384-bit bus, the maximum bandwidth should increase by 152 GB/s to 912 GB/s.
The RTX 3070 Ti is expected to have the GA104-400 GPU. The card features 6144 Cuda cores and 8 GB of GDDR6X memory. Although that’s less than what the RTX 3060 with 12 GB offers, the GDDR6X modules have a larger bandwidth. In other words, the Ti versions are also memory upgrades. As always, these leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt. Having said that, it really seems as if these cards are just around the corner. With them, Nvidia is taking things to the next level with the mining limiter. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Ti versions of the cards will be the only ones available soon and Nvidia will discontinue the other models.
