I'm currently moving into a bigger flat and looking for new furniture. In this series, I'm browsing through the Galaxus shop for each of my rooms and introducing some products that I can imagine using in my new place. Today I'm continuing with the bedroom.
The time had finally come at the weekend. I spent the first few nights in my new, freshly renovated 2.5-room flat of around 67 square metres in Hamburg. I'm still busy tinkering and furnishing, but the bedroom is almost finished. Only the finishing touches are still missing here and there. I already had most of the furnishings.
In this article, I'll introduce you to five products from the Galaxus shop that I considered when furnishing my bedroom. At the end of this series, I'll tell you what I actually chose and how I felt about it. And sorry: some products may not be available in all country shops.

1. laundry basket
Normally, you would probably expect a bed or a wardrobe in a list like this. I already have both. What I'm still missing is a nice laundry basket where I can collect my dirty laundry. Above all, I like to sort things beforehand so that it's easier for me to wash the right items together later. The laundry basket should therefore have three compartments. The Lio model from Vasagle was shortlisted. I just loved the look of the brand. I've already featured it in my articles on the hallway and the kitchen.
The laundry basket offers a large volume for my dirty laundry (38 litres per basket) and also a shelf for various things. I can really use the extra storage space in the bedroom. I also like the colour of the laundry basket. In my bedroom, the furnishings are pretty colourful anyway.
2. bedside cabinet
I have a problem: the area between my bed and the door offers hardly any space for a bedside cabinet. However, I really want to place my bed in this spot. So I need a solution for my bedside cabinet. The old one is too big and hardly anything else fits in the small area.

An initial consideration was the Milo from Vasagle. A small bedside table measuring 34 x 30 x 58 centimetres, but even that might be too big for my needs. Small wall shelves offer an alternative. These would be sufficient for a wallet, alarm clock and handkerchief, for example.
I went straight to the Vasagle brand and came across the Industrial model. However, I was worried that I might accidentally throw the items placed on it down at night. The shelf supports could also get in the way at night.
The Leonie wall shelf from Hanah Home offered me an alternative. I can mount the shelf in the corner and always have my utensils to hand. At the same time, they should stand securely: The shelf has a small elevation at the front so that things don't fall off so easily.
3. alarm clock
Less space on the bedside table also means that the items on it need to be smaller. And where is the best place to save space? The alarm clock. The new alarm clock should be small and stylish. My choice quickly fell on the BC08-DCF from Braun. The alarm clock measures just 5.8 x 5.8 x 2.0 centimetres and has a negative LCD display. It scores very well in the Community ratings with an average score of 4.6 out of 72 votes. The Community particularly praises the device's ease of use.
